Dear assagai: There is a conversation in the archives with KW and Bill (Harris?) I should know his name well with all the paper I got from him. KW has said that there is still nothing as good as Meditation and I cannot remember how long ago that was. On one of the tapes from Kosmos, he speaks a bit about the technnology side of testing and research that gives some clues.
If I had chosen to spend money for the whole set, I would have done that. Like most of us, I have to pick and choose. And then they have retreats etc. I really did get results from the first ones you get with the signing up. I think I had about 10 tapes and it was also worth it since the marketing was evidently seductive enough to get me to that point or I thought there might be something to it. As for the cost, in the sense of judging that, I always have to look at the problem and it is the buyers problem to decide. There is a ton of money being spent to support Integral . I just figured that the deal I get is worth it to me. A lot of bang for the bucks. It is an entirely different set up and Integral benefits from those of us on-line and we benefit from Integral. That may not be your way of looking at it, I just am saying that I wrestled with this.
I would love to have the whole thing. There are other products out there that would make my life more healthy and comfortable and I have limits financially. You will not get cheated and this is not a sleazy company, in my estimation. I got a lot out of what I do have. After using it for awhile. the chair I was sitting in started to go around. It was a recliner and it would go for the circle but when it came to the back wall could not go on without bumping , so it would stop and go back around the semicircle (a little larger) to the other side. and stop and go back. I am aware that this was all coming from me and that chair was not moving or moving by some motion that moved it by brain waves or thoughts. At least I am pretty sure. I am not too savy about tech stuff. I know a good bit about the brain and their are some pretty big things going on there. I just guessed my observation. What it did do was bring the most wonderful relaxation and I think there is definitely a place for this.
The book, "Shadow Syndrones" by Haley has a chapter at the end about the future and suggests that when we go to the gym we will also put things on our head while doing the treadmill or bycicle (as an example) that will be doing all sorts of things to make us feel better, do better and do new things. And it will be through the sound tech - not words. Yes, I would definitely get Holysync if it was in my budget. The pratice of doing this and meditation is what is so important and I have a feeling that both will always be with us. After all, it is the Precious Human Body that is needed for both. That is a thought that speaks to me and may not to all. Hope this helps. Pattye
