Hi, Witz & all - I just watched a good DVD, winner of some awards, and full of nostalgic 60's 70's and 80's soundtrack. I have a close connection with one of the characters portrayed in this based-on-a-true-story film. It's touching and nostalgic. Themes are search for self, meaning, and purpose; viet nam war and vets; American Disabilities Act and stimulation of aversion and revulsion due to appearance different from normal, what does a human being look like; free love, romance gained and romance lost and acceptance; mother's love and the absence thereof.
