Idea [I] ILP Wikipedia Stub - Invitation to Help Expand Into Full Article

Over at The Integral Pod we got an ILP stub for Integral Life Practice going, and any interested parties are invited to help expand it - see this thread for details.  A lot of key points were made about how to go about this, so I recommend reading through that entire thread - but here are a couple of key points raised by Grey [emphasis added]:

    • I should also point out that not too long ago there was a push by certain editors to aggregate anything and everything “integral” into just a few articles, so a number of the Wiki links in the stub redirect to other articles. I say this, too, because I suspect there's a good chance someone will try to redirect this article, as well.  But we'll have to wait and see. We can possibly prevent that by fleshing the article out as quickly as we can, so that it stands on its own better.
    • Adding to an existing article is certainly easier than creating a new one. The main things to be careful of are maintaining a “neutral point of view” (NPOV) and avoiding ”original research.

Grey also posted a useful guide to some of the essential style points - how to make something appear in italics or bold, for example.

So anyone who wants to get in on this action, have at it!

    cheers,

    Arthur

Good stuff, Arthur! Thanks for spreading the word.

Everyone should make a note of a recent disclaimer about "meatpuppetry" that I've just posted over in the Gaia thread, too, though.

    Cheers,
    ~G

Re: ILP Wikipedia Stub - Invitation to Help Expand Into Full Article

The more I think about it, the less it seems that suggesting people with an interest in ILP contribute to a wiki article on the subject really constitutes "meat puppetry" - and anyway, maybe I-I should actually try to generate a "meat puppetry" controversy (a tempest in a wiki-pot), as a media virus to spread integral memes.

In any case, this forum is now essentially dead.  Better to carry on the conversation elsewhere, such as the Integral Life entry on the ILP Wiki stub, or The Integral Pod thread on the same subject.

    spiral out,
    Arthur
