I also believe it is very important to bear in mind that:
the initial voices that Genpo works us through are those dogged voices that we all carry around with us, without recognizing them or putting them in their proper place. They are the little tyrants and dictators that are running around banging their drums and constantly demanding to be heard.
So, we give them a chance to play their little drum solos, they feel good, and then we put them in a corner with a brownie button on their lapel, and they wag their feet and smile, and we move on to deeper and more creative voices who normally get drowned out by the little tyrants and dictators!
When you want to taste Big Mind, you sometimes have to mollify Ordinary Minds first.
