    Updated: Big Mind voices

    Dear all,

If you are an advanced student of Big Mind, I suggest playing around with the following voices (but only if you've done the DVD and if you're familiar with triangles). I myself am playing with these.

    Voices:

    Great Spirit

    Mirror Mind

    Godhead

    Completeness

    the Totality

    the Present

    the Present Moment

    the Mystery

    Spiritual Heart

    Complete Heart-Mind

    Calm Abiding

Non-Abiding Mind (and see the paradox of this and the last one).

    Success

    Acceptance

    Enjoyment

    Enthusiasm

    Fulfilment

    Contentment

    Satisfaction

    Freedom

    Aloneness

    Happiness

    Creativity

    Maturity

    All OK

You can often feel when a voice is being invoked by reading any books on spiritual matters. Just experiment (but only if you know what you're doing).

    Triangles (1st base -- 2nd base -- Apex)

the saboteur -- No Saboteur -- Apex

Zorba -- Buddha -- Zorba the Buddha

the Material World -- the Immaterial World -- Apex

suffering -- Non Suffering -- Apex

    attachment -- No-Attachment -- Apex

    thinking -- Non-Thinking Mind -- Apex

pain -- No Pain -- Apex

    the self -- acceptance -- Apex (self-acceptance)

time -- No time -- Apex

    form -- Formless -- Apex

Sometimes it can be fun just to speak to the Apex without naming it. In fact, that is better.

    For example:

    Samsara -- Nirvana -- Apex

    Just see what happens.

    Shadow

    Competition

    Ambition

    Prestige

    Rationality

    the intellect

    hate

    anger

    jealousy

    envy

Again, if you want to be familiar with triangles, please go to www.zen-eye.org, where you can download a free sample called 'You - the Immediate Buddha'. Make sure it has downloaded properly.

It would be interesting to see what kind of experiences you have and to share them.

    Re: Big Mind voices

Cool! This is the kind of stuff that I want to see more of--first going to deep into a practice, on protocol, and only then picking it apart, extending it, re-understanding it, re-owning it, and sharing it. Open source spirituality (practices/techniques and right view)...

I agree with Mark. "Open Source Spirituality." How do I do X?

Re: Updated: Big Mind voices 5

    Dear all,

I have one or two other triangles one might like to play around with:

The one who has preferences -- The one who holds no preferences -- apex

The one who wants to be right -- The opposite of the one who wants to be right -- apex

The one who believes his thoughts -- The opposite of the one who believes his thoughts -- apex

The aristocrat -- the Opposite of the aristocrat -- apex

The complainer -- the opposite of the complainer -- apex

Shame -- the opposite of shame -- apex

Hate -- the opposite of hate -- apex

Boredom -- the opposite of boredom -- apex

Reactivity -- the opposite of reactivity -- apex

    --

Re: Updated: Big Mind voices 5

    Hi there,
some of the darkest, deeply pathological voices I've been working with:

Feeling unworthy of people I like
[Voice of] Seeking to be humiliated
Being the victim of loneliness [as stemming from Karma\Fate]
    [Voice of] My "Lost" Honor
Fear of flirting with people I feel attracted to

    That's it for now.
