Hi All,
Starting a thread that refers to a section in AQAL journal may have certain merits; however so doing could be made more user-friendly by providing a hyperlink directly to the text. Like this:
http://aqaljournal.integralinstitute.org/Pdf/Vol2_No4_Final_02-25-08_opt.pdf
While the PDF format certainly has its virtues; cutting and pasting text from it is not so easy. My own tendency is to use a conversion utility that transforms PDF files into Microsoft Word format, where i have more experience and facility.
And then too because the AQAL Journal is designed to be a scholarly enterprise the articles are often as dry as toast. Nonetheless there are certain gems that are worth a reader's time and energy.
The author of this one is a chiropractor; a profession with which i have a great deal of sympathy having lived with a doctor of chiropractic for nine years. In addition to being a DC, she was also a scientist and scholar, with several advanced degrees. In fact i used to kid her about it, saying that she has more letters after her name than in it. One of the areas of her study was acupuncture, and she made many trips to the local Chinatown to study under a native expert. And i can testify to the efficacy of her skill in this modality where she used electronic stimulation to needles placed at various acupressure points to cure a painful and debilitating problem.
The article also mentions halos and auras and i have some stories about this sort of thing if anyone has an interest.
Warmly,
Charles
