Gandhi, Wilber and Einstein walk into a bar...

I work in a bookstore and I got to pick a couple of books for our Staff Recommends section.  It was hard to choose which Ken Wilber book to recommend but I ended up choosing "Theory of Everything."  I'm kind of happy with the little blurb that I wrote up which is just a combination of of 3 quotes.  I initially wrote a short essay in which I showed how integral theory is literally peace-making in action but was told I had to condense it to a "blurb."  In the following "blurb" I do my best to pack in as much meaning and heart as possible.  It's sort of like trying to make a short blurb worth a thousand words just like the infamous picture.

"We must become the change that we want to see." Mahatma Gandhi.

"If you really want to change the world, you must first understand it adequately, or all you will do is reproduce in larger numbers your own ignorance." Ken Wilber

"Peace cannot be kept by force, it can only be achieved by understanding." Albert Einstein.

You may notice that Wilber was the missing link!

Dear C.   This is very creative and could be used again on a book mark or other

marketing goodies that people like to have or even on the ones that are sold.

And there seems to be more than one view, each connecting with the other and that has a definite impact on me.   Thanks.   Pattye

its name is "the adios lounge"

and can of course be g**gled maybe add tom or waits or monster to that or simply use a lead

and by then you will understand ...

RE virtual bars - how about Callahan's CrossTime Saloon books by Spider Robinson (or any of his other books - our smartest hippy humorous IMHO) - that'd be my first pick. Randy
